Roots to Wings
Roots to Wings Norfolk offers child-led, play-based tutoring and parent coaching for children
and families who are finding learning and everyday life challenging. I support children who
may be experiencing difficulties with confidence, emotional wellbeing, or engagement with
learning, and who benefit from a calmer, more individual approach. Alongside this, I work
with parents and carers to provide guidance and support that bridges learning at school,
home life, and home education projects.

I attended the wonderful Taste of Cromer event at the Cliftonville with my two under 7's. The event was fantastic and we were made to feel very welcome. My children loved the activities, particularly the stories about crabs read by the author! I would highly recommend, and I hope there are more events to attend in the future!Posted on Amy MallettTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My toddler and I attended the fishing event and he was engaged from start to finish. There were loads of fun and interactive educational activities - the crab table where he could identify the different parts as well as see the difference between male and female crabs was a particular favourite! The young fisherman’s son was so knowledgeable and answered the questions my son had in detail - he even let him try on the gear! Beth had gone the extra mile to source experts and her passion and enthusiasm for helping children learn through exploration and play is evident and inspiring. We will definitely attend the next event!Posted on Gemma LoaneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a family we have really benefited from seeing Beth as a play therapist. Things have really changed for us and my son has changed from this too. We now feel like we have the tools to move forward and now we can manage so much better. I would highly recommend this service to family who are struggling but would like a gentle approach.Posted on Joanna ChapmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have loved the weekly group with Beth so far - she is so kind and patient with the children, engaging them in activities that they're genuinely interested in, all whilst building their skills. Beth is clearly brilliant at what she does and I can't wait for more!Posted on kirsty dickensonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I contacted Beth when my 5-year-old daughter was having some struggles with phonics and maths. Our goal was to give her a gentle boost in confidence without any pressure. Since March, we’ve been having weekly sessions with Beth, and it’s now something my daughter genuinely looks forward to every week. Beth is brilliant at engaging with her in such a fun, positive, and encouraging way. It’s been lovely to see her grow in both confidence and enjoyment of learning. Thank you Beth!Posted on Mabel CatesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Since starting the sessions with Beth, T's confidence in learning has grown enormously. Just a few months ago he was reluctant to engage in reading and learning activities at home, but now his confidence has grown. He looks forward to reading and shows pride in his ability to do so. Beth has been incredible at understanding how T learns best; tailoring her sessions around the type of activity she knows he will enjoy and identifying the gaps in his learning. T thrives from the opportunity to learn through the fun, play based approach that Beth offers, and we are so grateful to be able to access this style of tutoring. The fact that Beth comes to our house with all her own resources makes the sessions really informal and accessible. I often hear T and Beth giggling throughout the sessions which is so lovely; he really looks forward to them. I would (and do) recommend Beth to anyone that has a child and is seeking a tutor to progress any aspect of their learning or development
